Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of police response towards DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell's current role as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also hosted Miss USA's pageant, as and the Miss Universe Pageant.
